AR SGEULACHD & PHILOSOPHY

Tha FRITH Glassware air a dhealbhadh agus air a chruthachadh leis an neach-togail glainne boireann Catriona NicCoinnich, a tha air a bhith a ’sèideadh glainne airson faisg air 20 bliadhna.

Is e na brosnachadh airson a cuid obrach na dathan, an innleachdas agus an comraich a lorgar a ’coiseachd ann am fiadhaich na h-Alba, às an robh i, agus tha iad sin a’ nochdadh gu fo-dhealbhach taobh a-staigh na pìosan glainne co-aimsireil aice.

Tha Catriona a ’dèanamh an obair air fad le làimh ann an stiùidiothan togail glainne san RA, agus tha a’ bhunait aice ann am Bristol.

Tha Frith na fhacal anglo-saxon a ’ciallachadh sìth agus tèarainteachd. Is e feallsanachd FRITH Glassware a bhith a ’cruthachadh pìosan glainne sòghail a tha na thoileachas dhaibh fhèin agus comhfhurtachd a chumail.

Bidh Catriona cuideachd a ’cruthachadh pìosan Art Glass a chithear aig www.catmackglass.com

DISIBILITY IN THE ARTS

Catriona has suffered from chronic health conditions all her life, but suffered a physical impairment in 2010, which has led her to become a disabled jeweller and glassblower. Despite these difficulties it has been important to Catriona to be an advocate to Disability in the Arts and to represent that Disabled Artists ARE Artists. If you want to help support her, and other disabled artists like her, then please do recommend her work, like and follow and donate to disability charities when you have the opportunities.
